First AGM of the Global Network takes place in Korea

The first Annual General Meeting of the Global Network of National Councils for Sustainable Development and Similar Bodies took place on the Wednesday 9th April, in Incheon, Republic of Korea, during the UN Office for Sustainable Developmentā€™s 2014 Sustainable Development Transition Forum.

The meeting, coordinated by Stakeholder Forum, as administrators of the Global Network, brought together members of its International Advisory Group (IAG) and representatives from a number of NCSDs and similar bodies, along with other actors from around the world taking part in the SDTF.

The meeting recapped the current status of the Network and key achievements to date, explored ideas and activities for taking the Network forward, including how it could help NCSDs to engage in the design and delivery of the new global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how the Network should be administered going forward.
